The Midwest 'Show and Shine' is taking a break this year.
Due to the Long Weekend being moved, it now clashes with other car shows and is not in the school holidays for this year. The show is 'too big' to hold on a normal weekend, so this year we are doing something different...just to give you all something to do.
The events will be:
Sat 8th October -Street Parade ... Chrome Bumper Era Cars
Sat nite 8th October - Burnouts... Competing for $5000 in Cash
Sun 9th October - Sunshine Festival Car Display... Come down and enjoy the day
We had hoped to run some street drags this year, but red tape is slowing the process down, so we will be looking to do something in the new year.
We have good local support and have teamed up with 'Beat the Heat' to get ANDRA sanctioning for the drags, so we are confident that they will get off the ground in due time.
If these events are successful, then you will see the Show becoming a 2-day event in 2012.
